I'm not really sure where to post this, so I'm sorry if it's in the wrong place. I have an irritating problem, my function keys.
I can't disable my FN keys, I spent hours looking through the BIOS settings, hours going through hundreds of forum posts and so on - A lot of them didn't seem to have the problem I was having or if they were, it was for a laptop and I'm on a desktop, so everyone's problem was ultimately different than mine and as a result, not much help. I've tried contacting various supports to no avail. Asus, Windows, ect.
According to just about everyone I've contacted, the option just is not available for my computer.
So, when I press F1 for example, it either, pulls up Windows Help or gives me a error ping and doesn't do anything.
Now, I thought this wasn't going to be much of a problem, since I'd seen on a few of the trainers I use that they had an edit hotkeys option - But sadly I was mistaken as the only thing you can change is which FN key it is.
Is there anything I can do, or am I just out of luck?

Edit - I'm not entirely sure what I did, but it seems I've fixed the problem.

If i member correctly the FN key is a hardwired key and can not be changed or rerouted im not to sure though but i never been able to change the FN key to a different keys can try Alt+FN and then a diff key and see if it will do something but i dont know more than this. Sorry if its to no help but its all i know on this subject.
