Cheat Engine is under attack by Copyright Infringement.

The story so far is that Cheat Engine was down for a few days due to Iweb suffering from DDoS attacks, and recently during those DDoS's, someone sent a copyright infringement noticed to DarkByte, owner of the site of Cheat Engine...

Its weird we also had ddos attacks on our server as well , Almost the same time .

Seems like someone is targeting the whole free cheating community .

Nope , My assumption is that Cheat Engine as well as us are being targeted by someone who is profiting from making cheats,Who would benefit from taking us all out .

So its unlikely they would target our website with copyright infringement notice since it would backfire at them Because of the legal presence it would set .

Someone will now come and say that im accusing a certain website or certain person, I'm not accusing anyone , There are many out there who are benefiting from this kind of business .

I have no idea how i forgot this but ,I remember once getting a similar notification from Bethesda back in mid 2015.

I contacted Bethesda directly and they told me not to trust it , I'm not saying what CE got isn't real but they should investigate it directly with Bethesda , They shouldn't bother with emails and just call them directly .

I hope it's okay, I shared that comment on the thread you provided. I didn't share your name as I don't know how they feel about people mentioning other cheat providers on their threads, I just said it was posted by the owner of another cheat site. I hope that is okay with you, I can go back and edit it to include your name if you want though.

Someone already quoted me, another site also had the same problem and they posted the message the person from another site said. It's possible that the individual in question has attacked so many sites that they wouldn't know who I was talking about.

It's basically like modifying the game files/code which is forbidden.

true but it's unsaved work, some of the cheats we make don't get saved like god mode for example or unlimited carry capacity for ships.

Edit: Cheat Engine is under attack again by DDoS (6:37 PM EST 3/2/2017). Website is down for 24 hours.
