I'm noticed more and more that I can't get trainers to stay. I've already disabled anti-virus, McAfee, from real time scanning. I checked the quarantine files. It isn't going in there. No AV message, just the trainer immediately disappears.
Is this still an AV problem, or is there another culprit?

Appears to still be McAfee quarantine issue, though it didn't show or ask. If it helps anyone, this is the convoluted way past it so far. When McAfee asks if you want to trust it, don't do anything. Scan it manually, then tell it to trust the file. That got it past the quarantine issue.

Is there an AV a bit more friendly toward users? McAfee used to let you make the calls. I never thought much of Norton.

most antiviruses will consider them a virus / trojan due to the way it works i use avast personally its been pretty good it sometimes flags MAF trainers but its easy enough to work around
