Yup confirmed, if activated before starting new or continuing from saved game, it works.

Add item was working a few days ago but as of yesterday it was not. I tried to edit the money/gold value in cheat engine but it keeps defaulting back. Game has not been updated since last year. Game version is now at 1.1.13.565.74006 Some features still work, but sometimes crafting items it does not work properly in the sense that, I add the items but it still says missing items. Unlimited health, no hunger, stamina, items, money...

Due to there is no trainer.... I found this and used it as of today and it worked for me. (CheatEngine Tables)
