I tried using mega exp, it activated but the moment the game tried to log the exp change it crashed.

Your doing nothing wrong other then not reading the other comments, the game has updated past the version of the trainer so it dont work no more, we have to wait patiently for MrAntiFun to update it to version 1.6.1 which is the current game version on steam.
