Really I imagine all it needs is a quick revision of the Medieval 2 base trainer, but regardless, the mod community is thriving and Divide and Conquer just released a new version of their total war submod. Unfortunately, the M2 trainer does not register the Kingdoms.exe mods require to run, and a lot of popular mods don't run off steam's launcher.

The M2 trainer works just fine. I just tested it with the Heirs of Elendil submod.
The trainer targets medieval2.exe, so you just need to move the original medieval2.exe to somewhere safe, then make a copy of kingdoms.exe and rename it medieval2.exe, so both medieval2.exe and kingdoms.exe in the main game folder are actually kingdoms.exe
Then you right-click on the .bat in the modfolder, click edit, it's gonna open in notepad, and just write medieval2.exe where it's kingdoms.exe.
Only tested godmode, so don't know about all the cheats, don't see any reason why they shouldn't work. Activate the trainer in the main menu, then the cheat in the campaign.
