I recently got KoA: Reckoning on Steam, after having played it at launch back on the 360. I hadn't played the DLC before, but didn't have a save file ready to do them, so I tried to grab a trainer to play catchup so I could jump right into the DLC. I tried literally every KoA trainer on this site, and a few others from other trainer makers. Not a single one opens. Windows automatically deletes the file when it's run, giving an error about the file just not existing. I thought this was a Winrar problem maybe; extracting corrupted files? So I tried 7zip and got the same problem. I went and tried a few other trainers made around the same time as the KoA ones, and got the same problem.

Does anyone have a solution? Running Windows 10 home x64. Newer trainers I tried (Witcher 3, Dishonored 2, Doom) all work just fine. It seems to be the ones made around 2014 and older that give me problems.

Disable your Anti-virus, is usually the issue. Other than that don't know what to tell you everything I've DL'd here works perfectly fine. Old or not. Windows Defender is also one that likes to block the trainers and gives false Virus alerts.

I disabled Windows Defender via the registry, disabled Malwarebytes, even turned off the firewall for good measure. None of it helped. I can unzip the file just fine, but when I go to actually use it, it deletes itself. I tried running in compatibility mode, and I tried running as admin, all with no success.

You need to put exclusions in malwarebytes, so it wont keep scanning, ten open up task manager, go to details, find MSASCuiL.exe and end its process.
