Is it true that I can use the unlimited HP and MP in offline and still be able to play online ( of course the trainer is off)? If that is true, what about my legitimate gains while having unlimited HP and MP? i.e. boss souls

I keep getting "Game not found, trainer is waiting". I need help. Thats with another trainer, your trainer says " Status: Game is off", while I have the game running.
