like I previously mentioned the game version you had and the trainer work fine. If you have a usb keyboard to hand, plug it in and try using the keyboard instead. This is why I never advised to change versions of the game with a pad and that should work. Sorry I didn't think to mention this earlier.

I do it the reverse way, launch trainer first (as admin) then run the game. Try it that way then let me know how you get on.

ok are you holding "fn" then pressing f1? remember press fn and keep holding it and press f1 then release. do you hear "trainer activated" at all? things are a bit fiddly on a laptop.
