For the skill points.. you might try running the trainer first and activating the skill points cheat BEFORE you start your save.. then they should load fine.. it worked that way for me with another trainer.

I have the Ultimate 2.0.0.2 from GoG as well and the trainer does not work. Any chance of an update for it? I can provide the exe if that would help (says 1.83 inside the game). FYI.. I hear the 1.83 patch will be coming out on Steam soon as well, GoG just got it first and it was just released...
