Whenever I enable No Tyre Wear my computer freezes and crashes? any ideas

In a similar situation, tried to change it with Cheat Engine etc but with no success, Would anyone have any idea how to do this? Having 999,999,999 takes all the fun from the game, I just want to be able to give my Sauber a wee boost ;)

It activates fine, but doesn't actually work, I can still get shot and die :/.

Awesome nice turnaround! Most stuff seems to be working, however infinite health still doesn't seem to work?
