Same happened to me but now before I play I reboot PC and no problems when I run it. I ran the trainer for a while with a non paid version and it ran fine, I brought the game because it is an awesome game.

Well bugger me drunk, I never actually clicked that it would be that, of course super unit size has pretty much doubled the amount of troops and when I take 20 stacks in that is a ton of rendering to do. Will try a run with normal troop sizes and let you know mate :)

Hopefully he can shed some light on it as I am frustrated not being able to play a battle through without the lag.
