Run both the game (steam) and trainer in administrator mode. Had this problem with other games as well, but for me this seems to be the solution.

Unfortunatly that's not the solution. I'm running the trainer as admin, made an av exception (and turned it off) and I've got the right version, both trainer and game, with all expansions. EDIT: Genius! I was not running the game as administrator. So, your comment helped me after all, thank you...

Anyone with a sollution?

Right version, both game and trainer. AVG is off and using singleplayer only (I never play hoi4 mp). Still, just a *beep* on F1, no 'Trainer Activated', just the *beep* sound, nothing else. Other keys don't do anything. Trainer stopped working for me since version 1.6.0 (Game and trainer).

I've got the beep again on F1, trainer doesn't activate, just gives a beeping sound. Anyone a work-around? Started to happen since 1.6.0, seems that size wise the trainer has gone form 4.4mb to 800kb.

Same goes for me. Older version worked just fine. Now I just get a beep on F1
