Launch the game. Enter the game either "New Game" or "Continue". Wait until you're into the game. Execute the Trainer. Activate the Trainer. You may have to wait several seconds, but it will eventually activate.

I tried 0.51b trainer on my host server of 0.52b, and the trainer does not recognize the new version.
