Download trainer,
start the game,
wait until you're in the main menu,
start the trainer,
hit F1 (activate trainer),
enable all the cheats you want

The ones for the ships and such are on mouse over, so basically if you want a ship with super health you need to mouse over it, then hit the appropriate key for it.
