Does anyone still use Torrents?

Hi folks, does anyone still use torrents? I was wondering this, because ******* portals like Thepiratebay and KAT don't seem that accessible to me anymore and I have heard from people that they don't really use torrents anymore but that they actually buy games. For me, I almost always only get games from torrents. I don't buys them... almost ever.

Downloading pirated games doesn't support the developers .. Too each his own ... That said I would gladly pirate every PC port that is crap .. Pay millions for anti cheat software but can't spare a few cents to make a complete game ..

Use a TOR browser if your ISP/ country is blocking ******* sites for you .. Most retail game sites have Direct Download options which you could check ..

About the developers getting the money, here's some food for thought, it isn't the devs who actually make money from teh game. They are just paid slaves who make their money from the corporation. Even if the games are an astounding success in the market, they might not even be getting a bonus at times I think .

Point noted .. Would you like to create something that's worth selling only to learn that someone else stole/ pirated the idea? Not fun huh .. Corporations always gonna be hungry .. That's what drives human mentality in general .. Greed ..

Hell I paid full price for Mass Effect series including all the DLC's which were more than the cost of the individual games .. I would gladly do that for any franchise/ game dev that I love ..

I don't mind dev's abusing peoples love for a franchise but give us something good ..

This now society sucks, since there is a legal offer for everything everyone went stupid "but muh it's so cheap" and end up paying 100 bucks a month for all their subscription to everything - film , music, games, blahblablah

Good quality torrents became rare, all the major top players got shut down one way or another, only leaving us with

Fact : Most of people ******* because they don't have the ressources to legally purchase the content anyway

As per supporting the devs and creators, it is indeed the large companies that profits the more. Just look how former EA, Crytek and Activision employees talk about their formers employers and working condition

Downloading pirated games won't affect financial in any way though according to few sources including EU Commission.
Surely you can do that way then just buy it later some time to keep in your library that gives you a lot of benefits including auto patch, playing MP, achievements and among other things.

Yes that's point to share but this is "private" we talking about, it has a lot of benefits than public and not mention servers cost a lot to keep things running up.

As much as i understand the cost thing, then why beeing so cryptic about it and hide existence ?

Literally, the internet i knew 10 years ago was all about "Download/Share" and now all i see is "Buy/Trade/Sell"

torrents is so old school lol i use jdownloader now with IDM linked and i take 40gb in withing a matter of minuts.....

you need a private vpn+private tracker or use a search engine that does not block search results. There are ways to escape a country's firewalls or methods to block or blacklist certain websites. google and windows 10 are getting pretty restrictive with what they block nowadays.

most ppl are paying for games because the monthly costs for a private tracker set and private vpn equal as much as the average game now over a few months.

i would only invest in private vpn/trackers if I had a need for high quality things that are not easy to get normally (ie, program that cost 1000$+, textbooks, etc etc.)

I use torrents for everthing. Games, Movies, TV Shows, Anime. Win Apps, etc.

I'm on a private tracker which have everything, also I use a 2TB seedbox and just download it from my there. And also since I'm using a seedbox (Chmuranet), I'm protected from DMCA and other nonsense
