Factorio 0.9.8

Just downloaded the 0.9.8 Trainer for Factorio, running version 0.9.8 and getting no functionality from the trainer (ignores hotkeys?), is there an alternate way to make the hotkeys work or could it be due to fullscreen?

Mine seems to work in 64bit Widows 7, but i cant seem to "tick" the boxes for the hotkeys (F1 + F2) in the trainer, so dont get any ingame functionality yet. The program recognises that factorio is running though (game is: on)

make sure you are in game before activating trainer
