GOG version of Witcher 3

So there was a mix up and I just found out my Witcher 3 Steam key is actually a GOG key, will this make a difference with the eventual trainer? I've been told I can switch to a physical copy so I need to know beforehand.

I believe it will still work, the core game is the same. The GOG version is just the original release with DLC and a few tweaks to the main campaign.

Thanks! Although after watching Conan's Clueless Gamer review I may not need it. If that was actually him beating the final boss it should be a breeze for the rest of us.
