This comment may be only relevant to Grim Dawn, so I've posted it here. While it is time consuming to use the trainer to add XP, iron, etc. when the F-command provides a limited and finite amount, the "all infinity" approach seems to be overkill. For example, when having to gamble-purchase for armor from a merchant - where the player does not know what the purchased item will be until it is bought - being able to replace wasted cash on things that turned out to be not useful is one thing and still lets the player, if they choose (choice being, imho, what MAF's work is all about), have the option to have to play to build up their cash (or various points) or not. Example: when my avatar became very powerful, Cruicible runs became boring and time consuming though needed to get Devotion points. Getting the number of points I would have gotten by investing time grinding but suffering the drawback of no XP for that time fit my style (ymmv) but use of the trainer for Devotion points is +100 (infinity if you leave it on) where 55 is max useage in the stock game. My choice of how to play and adjust the game is not as broad as it might be if I could F-select for a smaller, finite number.
