Homefront: The Revolution has been in the works going on five years now. If a reservation card being sold by US retailer Target is to be believed, however, the long wait will end on May 17 of this year.
It’s been one helluva ride for Homefront: The Revolution. First announced in 2011, it was plunged into uncertainty when publisher THQ filed for bankruptcy the following year. Crytek then stepped in but financial bother on their shores - made worse by a number of employee departures - left Koch Media, whose parent company is Deep Silver, to swoop in and drive the beleaguered Homefront sequel onwards.
At Gamescom last year a tentative “Holiday 2016” release date was teased, but if the latest slip up from US retailer Target is to be believed, La Revolución will be upon us before the end of spring on May 17, 2016. At the time of writing, there's no sign of the corresponding release date on the Target website.
Like Fraser, I'd almost forgotten Homefront: The Revoultion was still in existence until last year. If you're on a similar boat, jog your memory with a look at the latest trailer from last summer
