How does a trainer get made anyways?

I have always been curious about this

How does a trainer get made? I have always appreacte the hard work that the makers go for gaming these days. So my question to Anti or anyone that knows, how and what exactaly is needed or goes into making a trainer.

i kinda guess it involves the memory coding or something if i recall right, but i could be wrong!

Well from what I understand of it, it is pretty much a code injector that inputs code to the game files after the hotkey has been pressed. So he would need to write all the code for each trainer cheat he puts in, the game code he wants it to inject, and then he has to test it to make sure it works without crashing the game.. and if he doesn't get it the first try it could take several attempts. It isnt easy work I would imagine. I think it would take several hours of hard coding to get a decent working trainer for an average game but I could be wrong as skill and practice can play a factor in it...

Then again I am saying all this with very basic understanding of code and game code design... so yeah... kind of talking out my ass on this one.

Hopefully someone who is more intimately knowledgeable on the matter can make it clearer than I did.

I'm not entirely sure how MrAntiFun does his trainers.
But how I go about making my trainers is I debug the game, and get the different addresses that write certain things in the game, like values and such. Then after this I get the memory instructions of what the address actually writes to the game. Finally I use a memory patcher, where I input the addresses I found previously and patch the instruction in-game. At this point I set a key to enable the "cheat" function in-game.

That's just a little run down on how I do it.

I tried it myself a while back, I used CheatEngine to build a trainer but I got frustrated about the fact that game code changes everytime the game is started so I can only find the resources once everytime and it takes too long to narrow down the numbers again. My question is how does Mrantifun test them? Does he seriously have all the games at his disposal to check if it works? Or is he running some cloud software with dozens of gamers where he can test it there?

Exactly, I was struggling trying to find the direct addresses for Ultimate General Gettysburg and MAF made a trainer for it, he said it wasn't easy but he did it. It needs to be updated now cause the game updated like 3 times since he created the trainer for it. But I feel you, donations are only fair. Give a little back to MAF for his time.

Exactly, now I rememeber when there were only 5 to 6 donors and I was one.. and now I am happy to see that there are over 15 donors.. but it isnt enough. In fact if I had my way I would post a message to everyones front page telling them to donate and turn off Adblock for this site.. but alas I am just a random user of MAF trainers and the forum so all I can do is beg people to be kinder to MAF and donate

I donated because his trainers are of the latest games, free and working! Then I promised I'd donate in my post if the first trainer would work whereas I have to pay for otherwise. I'm a man of my word, and I agree with the amount of good trainers here I too feel like I owe MrAntiFun. In a way I still paid for trainers but at least it goes to the MrAntiFunding cause instead of that crap where you're stuck on for a year like cheathappens.

I am just so happy that so many people here donate and this community for the most part is amazing and funny. I am happy to be a part of the MAF donor family, and to know so many awesome people here
