The first How to Survive was fun enough once you got past the irritating voice of the welding mask-wearing, Russian accented narrator. Its sequel aims to bring more of the same - including the narrator, unfortunately - albeit with a mutliplayer focus.

Zombie games have to be multiplayer on PC. It's the law.

How to Survive 2 mixes things up by letting you work with 16 other players to build a camp. Only four can play together at a time, but whenever members of the group are playing they are all working towards creating a better base.

To keep things fresh (not the corpses, you understand), there will also be randomised environments "from the unforgiving Mississippi Delta bayous to the abandoned streets of New Orleans’ French Quarter". A day and night cycle and different weather conditions will also add variety.

It's still quite a way off being complete,. It might be a good idea to check out a few of the Steam reviews first, though, as it seems to be getting a bit of a mixed reception in its current form.
