Need Help, Trainer Cheats won't activate

As the title says, the cheat(Tale of Wuxia) won't activate at all. The cheat engine/app still opens like how it used to, but pressing any of the hotkeys to activate the cheat doesn't do anything. I've had the game and the trainer for a while now, and when I first got the trainer it was working perfectly. I decided to play the game again, about 2 days ago, and the cheat wasn't responding quickly. I would press F1 2 3 ect... to try and it would take an absurd amount of time or clicks for it to activate. Sometimes it won't even activate. I deleted trainer, but I had the zip file for it so I just unzipped it for the "new" trainer. Now It won't activate at all. I've been pressing constantly hoping it would work, but nothing. My antivirus hasn't said anything and my firewall isn't affecting it either(from what I can see).

Does anyone have any advice or solutions?

P.S.- The versions of both the game and the trainer have not changed at all. I haven't updated anything regarding them.

Did you update your OS in any way? Sometime depending on various factors trainer's could take upto a minute to activate atleast on Windows 10 .. Usually I just keep alt+tabbing until I hear the "bing" or "trainer/ cheat activated" ...
