Current trainer is out of date and no longer works. The game is driving me nuts lol, could use the boost!

Trainer seems to activate fine for me , Did you start game first then the trainer ? .

Yes, I certainly did.
I tested it on my wifes computer too and same result, it did not work.

The trainer fires up and activates but when I use the cheats for money and crystals it does not add to the totals anymore. The trainer says the cheat is activated but nothing is added to those categories. I did not try the inifinate AP one.

EDIT - went back and tried infinate AP, it also says "cheat activated" but does not add to the AP value.
