Some kind of god mode for them would be enough, never age, never sick, just make as many as you need and they'll stay there.

need inf materials... is good enough...
having god mode... then whats the point of playing this type of sandbox sim?

You can get infinite materials with cheat engine easily, resources solve nothing, I lost everyone because I didn't have enough maintenance people and they kept dying of starvation because they couldn't repair everything in time.
