I find a solution for the GOG Version, rename the Launchfile MarsGOG.exe to MarsSteam and start the game.. Hope it helps

Thnx a lot that worked perfectly for me
Now the problem is that when i activate infinite research the game crash

I think the trainer needs updating becuse i tried to use it and it crashes the game miliseconds after activation. and there was a patch

What I do is pause the game then right click ingame and after that activate trainer and the 2 cheats. Finally undo everything you wont probably need it anymore.

Cheat works perfect IF you follow instructions
1. Start new game and wait for rocket to land OR you can load allready saved game
2. Run trainer but dont activate it yet
3. right mouse click to open resource window
4. activate trainer WHILE your resource window is open, activate both cheats, check if you got funding and researche boosted in opened resource window
5. when they are boosted, DEACTIVATE both cheats then DEACTIVATE trainer
6. Enjoy and play

Doesn't work - Game crashes

Trainer is junk, no matter which approach I take it crashes every time.

*UPDATE - so I just launched the game, launched the trainer (while the game was loading) activated everything, loaded my save, opened resource, saw the added amount, quickly deactivated and closed the trainer and it worked.

Game is on but the trainer shows the hole time is off. Trainer dont work with the gog version! Pls fix it

For me it don´t work. I Start a game, then i wait while the rocket land, start the trainer (not activate), and then???? What is right klick for Ressource window???? When i klick right it opens the build menü and not resource everything. The resource menü ist botten right the coloney overview!!! So what do you mean with right klick on resource window??? When i open the resource tab botten right and activat the trainer it crash. And when i klick right thats open the build menü it crash to!

Yesterday I got it to work by following instructions just like everyone else.
Today I made a new game and it kept crashing.
I understand now why there is some conflicting reports.

Followed polla2256's advice:

I activated the trainer while the game was loading, that did the trick. Thanks!

Thanks guys! Renaming the Launchfile MarsGOG.exe to MarsSteam works perfectly for GOG version.
