Did you start the game 86X and not 64X ? , If you running the game directly from steam and you have 64 bit system it will start the 64X build of the game so you gonna have to open 86X build manually from
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II\VanHelsing_x86.exe
