Hello i can't seem to activate the trainer or use some of the options it does something like an error sound what can i do?

I have the same issue, F1 do not activate the trainer, instead, I hear an error sound ... what can we do ?

Try a different version. v2.3.0. 18513 or v2.4.0. would do it. Those are the 2 latest trainers.
Maybe, start the game first and start the trainer when you are at the main menu ingame or when the map is loaded.

Before to proceed, please read General Rules and FAQ to get well informed around.
Now, about your question, current trainer is the last one V2.3.0 Trainer +15 Build 18462 so download it and extract it anywhere you want. Now, how to use it, well, first start the game and enter in game world (not the main menu) then you open the trainer (use alt-tab to switch window tabs), then mostly new trainers has functions like "game is: OFF and ON" and "cheat status: everything went fine and error, couldn't activate" this would be good info just in any case, now press F1 (default hotkey) to activate trainer (it's gonna insert injection in process and ready to use cheats) if all went fine (if you see sound or/and text marked red then it means activated successfully) then you can use rest cheats you prefer to activate.

About anti-virus, you see, our trainers doesn't not contain any such as virus. worm or malware they flag simply just as false-positive, you can read more why's that here https://mrantifun.net/index.php?threads/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-trainer.4451/page-110#post-204194 but i advise always to download from official source which is this forum.

If your anti-virus reacts to this then i suggest add to exception as a file or a specific folder where you gonna hold trainers in there, but if it doesn't work then i suggest a simple fix would be complete turn off your anti-virus (yeah i know, big risk to left your PC unprotected but it's up to you to be self-aware around ) read these guides for further info.

Thank you, sir. That's great info. Thankfully, about 10 minutes after posting my question, I figured it out myself and got it up and running. The only other question I might have is whether or not it's okay to reactivate your antivirus programs AFTER you've got the trainer running.

No, it will terminate/quarantine it no matter what, so in this case after you close the trainers you can re-activate safely anti-virus but make sure trainers are added in exception so that your anti-virus won't perform a scan around there.
