Unable To Open Any Trainers

Since I upgraded to Windows 10 I have been unable to open any of the trainers. I have tried adding a folder to exceptions on Avast, but nothing happened. For whatever reason my windows defender exceptions option doesn't show up so I tried doing the registry thing MrAntiFun posted earlier in the day, but even that didn't do anything. I've even tried to install a fresh copy of Windows 10 and that didn't fix it either. Does anyone have any other suggestions on a fix for this?

You mention avast, try to turn off it complete for now and see if it's working.

I went ahead and followed the instructions, made it look exactly like what you put and it still didn't do anything. What's weird too is that I looked online on the whole how to permanently disable windows defender and after a restart and everything the icon never went away and its still accessible, just with all the updated settings from your instructions. I've tried running it as admin as well as well as in compatibility mode(Windows 7).

To further test this, I tried using a random demo trainer from a random site and that ended up actually working which adds to the bizarre situation lol. If there is any other information that would help let me know.

Edit: Just something to add, when i would use the trainers on windows 7 it would get avast to warn me, but i would just disable the shields and it would work fine.

So I just wanted to follow up a bit on the trainer issue, after trying everything that was recommended I gave up on trainers for a bit. Recently I picked up prey and downloaded the trainer to see if it would work. Turns out it does, pretty much all other game trainers wont open but Prey will, its the weirdest thing. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I have not been working for a week, the ones executed as administrator but not opened, the window does not appear. I do not have antiviruz, and windows defender is disabled.
