white screen problem

hey all i know this isnt for hardware problems but i been having a strange white flash come on my screen that is random and nothing seems to fix it,not sure if its my monitor going out or what,like it happens no matter what im doing and no errors come up when it does,it just comes up blank white screen,sometimes it gos quick sometimes it stays for a min or 2,i did every virus scan known to man so its not that,i jiggled the cables to see if its a short its not that,im at a loss any ideas?
