XCOM Enemy Within - latest trainer not working at all.

As reported by several players in the forum section for XCOM Enemy Within, the trainer does not work for the latest version of the game (STEAM).

I tried it myself as well and the various trainer options either crash the game or just make a sound without doing anything.
