It's offline if you play solo.
It's not a "true" online...just you upload your map for other players.
And I'm waiting for the GOG version...so no DRM.

The online aspect is only for tagging planets and wildlife etc... There is no online multiplayer.

Given the PC Version comes out Friday, I expect there will be a trainer sometime that evening or Saturday, since there isn't any way to get a copy before that.

I am curious if MAF considers this a multiplayer game based on his code of ethics or not. Obviously, it would be awesome to have a trainer for this game but I will respect MAF's decision either way on this game.

Do you think MAF would make a trainer for No Man's Sky? reading the forums and based off Sean's interviews, it's considered a single player game and if the trainer is made how will it affect other players?
