Update please! Version 2.5 with crusade expantion. Tested every other version of trainer and they dont work. I think that the game process is named differently.

I used the v2.1 crusade trainer, renamed gc3 to > GC3Crusade.exe the trainer works except the research option.

What did you rename?

I have Steam version, 2.5 with some dlc and both expantions. My Exe file is now named GalCiv3.exe. When i click it Stardock "Tychon" launchers starts and then I have to choose the game from it. When i rename exe file to something else I cant open the game from launcher. It is grayed out as i would have to buy it.

Hope thies helps. Please let me know if there is any additional information i can provide to help with trainer or finding a walkaround.

If you you goto the start button on windows 7 then look for the launcher, right click it then open file location, whatever your exe is called, rename it to what the trainer needs (make sure your using the right trainer, mine is crusade 2.5) I am using the latest crusade 2.1 trainer on here, it reqs process GC3Crusade.exe so I renamed whatever mine was called before to it .. think it was just crusade... anyway it worked except the research option.

Note::

Make sure you run the .exe, the launcher will look for the original named file, so you cant use it, just errors or dont load. Make a note of the original name (unlike me) so you can rename it for updates etc

It doesn't work with some of the DLC content - tries to update and give a fatal error code if you try and rename the EXE. Even if you try and open via the executable and shut down steam. Hopefully, we will get an update soon from Mr. Antifun

It tries to force update on DLCs and crashes immidialty after. Unfortunately an updated trainer wwill only solve this. How more can I help?
