For me its simple, as much as i liked MAF Trainers and as much as i think he did great work but WeMod no chance will never install it.

Reasons for me are simple

1. It force me to use a Client only to Access a Database for trainers, would also work with a Homepage , ah wait we already had that and many other Trainer Creators still use this old thing called Homepage with a Download Archive.

2. Client simply start scanning my Computer for Data, which data ? only Games? Hard to believe how should the Client know the differnet folders i use for my Games? So it scan all Folders and what happens with all this Data? Is it removed and nothing about it leave my Computer ? Or is it send to WeMod and possible send to Trash Bin or possible scanned for valuable stuff like Email Adress Phone Numbers and such stuff?

So change your Client that it does not scan for games but allow me to tell the client i have this game or that game installed and set gamefolder myself, disable anything that scans for games or other data on the computer . Could be easily done not much work to add something like that.

Ah wait now you wanna tell me that this would also mean i coudl not use this supershiny "hej you need a new trainer version" feature? fine thats ok for me i knwo myself if i need a new trainer or not or if i want a new trainer version or not, dont need a tool forcing new version downloads for me.
Ah ok no wait you tell me now that this would mean i have much more work cause i need to select my games and folders , fine not that much work for a one time setup.

No really Tools scanning entire computer for Data is somethign i will not install never ever , cause i dont think you can give me some sort of written 100% confirmation that never ever any Data is read and send form my computer to your servers or servers from 3 party groups if its not name and version of the game itself and nothing else no hardware no OS data no installed other programms nothing else .

Hey all, I'm Frank - lead developer over at WeMod! If you haven't read the MrAntiFun + WeMod Partnership announcement posted yesterday, check that out first. The gist of it is that MrAntiFun will be posting new trainers (and most existing ones) to WeMod going forward.

For those of you who haven't heard of us, WeMod is an all-in-one trainer app that detects which games you have installed on your PC and automatically picks the correct trainer to run based on your game version. It was first released in 2015, just after MAF created this forum.

We entered this partnership because MrAntiFun is dedicated to creating quality trainers at a god-like speed, and our team and technology allows him to do this even more efficiently. His following (this community) shows that he's one of the best trainer creators in the world - and we're excited that WeMod can help him focus on doing what he loves.

Trainer updates will still be posted here on MrAntiFun.net, but they will be hosted in the WeMod app. Besides that, the trainers will run just the same as they did before since MrAntiFun is still coding them. The big difference is that releases will be faster and more frequent than ever before

I know this news comes as a shock to some - especially those that have been dedicated followers and donators to MAF over the years. Rest assured that we're fully committed to addressing any questions or concerns you have. Feel free to post in this topic, in the forum chat, or to message me privately! I'll respond as quickly as I can.

For existing donors: there will be an announcement posted soon regarding free WeMod Pro membership for you. Note: all trainers in WeMod are FREE. Pro just gives some extra perks.

OK so. not a single one of the wemod downloads have worked at all. not a single one... the second i download the file i save it and open the setup and no loading bar no nothing just says instantly failed to down load. and yes i know there is a app to down for them and the same thing happens for it to
i went to the wemod website downloaded the app for the wemod stuff and it dose the same damned thing... sorry to say? but my high hopes kinda got thrown out the window... hope theres a way to to *actualy* down load the trainers and not this. cus this? dont work. if theres another way id love to hear it.

This is an issue caused by Comcast. They have recently rolled out their advanced security features. You can disable it here: https://internet.xfinity.com/more/my-services

This WeMod is getting on my nerves. The WeMod process is sitting at 100% CPU on my laptop which kills the battery very quickly and on my Desktop it accesses the network drives I have mapped on my computer. Why is it doing this?
I have only one game installed, civilization 6... and would be much happier without this WeMod software eating up CPU, draining battery and scanning drives. I can't see any use of this software for me and it's causing so many headaches. :( :( :(

Something is wrong with your installation if it's doing that. Mine uses 0.5% CPU. Uninstall and reinstall or check for updates. It checks network drives for installed games so it can show you the cheats for them, per the column on the left with Installed Games, etc.

so here's where it stands. which sucks because I've been relying on MAF for years. I hate to say it, but after more testing, I just can't recommend WeMod right now. which means I have to switch back to {FLING} trainers or even paying for one-time downloads over at Cheat Happens.

maybe none of this would be an issue if all of my games were installed in default locations starting with C/Program Files, but I have games installed on several different platforms (like Steam) across a couple of different hard drives. which has always been fine when MAF trainers were individual EXEs on their own. but the WeMod application largely conflicts with the launching properties of different game platforms and (worst of all) represents ANOTHER platform itself that I have to install... as if we don't have enough launchers to maintain already between Steam, uPlay, Origin, Epic Games, etc... I like downloading a single trainer and running it when I run my game. I don't like downloading ANOTHER launcher platform which also wants me to check it's newsfeed at the startup and check for updates. it's too much.

spent all afternoon today trying to get WeMod to work with Metro Exodus for instance. had so many problems.
went and downloaded a little {FLING} trainer instead. guess what? worked immediately. no separate launcher. no updates.

this is how MAF used to be...

Hello. Can anyone tell if there's a hidden crypto miner in the WeMod installer? I'm leary about installing the new launcher and want to be %100 it's safe and that there are no hidden programs (like crypto miners) are imbedded in the .exe. Thanks and thanks MAF for continuing to make gaming great again. :)

Ok, so I have been using this new app. It's been working, reasonably well, right up until I got home tonight. I clicked the app about 25 minutes ago and it is still sitting at the startup screen. No games, no mods, no nothing. Just "You're game. You're rules" and a big pulsing trademark "W" in my face. Either make sure the thing works, or can it. Another sign of people not having enough respect for others to make sure they do their damn job and do it right. And, no MAF, I don't mean you. You're work has been impeccable.

Wemod does seem to have an 'Always online' requirement in order to use the trainers. Which is a problem for me since I have a unreliable connection at home (connection is often affected by bad weather and power outages). As soon as my internet connection drops, the app goes completely haywire. Not only does the trainer stop working, the app itself becomes unresponsive, and will only work once my connection to the internet has been restored. Never had that issue with the old trainers. Which is why I will never buy the pro version of this app.

Also trainer requesting is now much harder since you need 2000 points and the only way to get trainer is to pay if you want it for less popular games, is Mrantifun the only trainer maker for wemod ? because otherwise i imagine a lot of the time they spent time sitting on the ass.

Has MAF responded at all to any of the backlash against WeMod?. I havent seen any posts or anything.
I was shocked just now to see the Borderlands 3 thread has only 6 pages of replies, for such a big game, and half of those replies were people moaning about WeMod. The traffic on this site, and for his mods, must of gone down so much the past few months.
MAF has an amazing legacy, its a damn shame to see it go down the toilet with this WeMod partnership. I hope they are paying him well.

WeMod is the worst thing i have ever seen the loading times are longer then GTA 5 and i mean by that it never loads after the first time use!

Dudes seriously, **** you for making me have to be online to use your shit ass program. Change that shit. I should never need to be online to use a ******* cheat you asshats.
A connection is only required the first time you use the cheats as that is when they are downloaded. There are a few bug fixes for offline mode in the beta channel which will be pushed to the stable build soon.

I understand the need to compartmentalize trainers and have them stored in a library, but this is where Mrantifun single play trainers failed when they use to have online verification to use them back in the day.

The biggest major issues with Wemod is the online verification and the false sense you don't have to pay for it.
You can't even vote for a game unless you pay to vote, and call it a donation.

I personally went back to fling trainers as he has been updating them to a new style and no online activation or paywall to use them or voting for a game trainer to be made.

I've been on the scenes longer than most, I started out on the TPTB private website were I first met Mrantifun, unfortunately things change.

Trainers are stored locally after you use them for the first time. You can close the game, turn off your computer, come back the next morning and still use the cheats.
This is a straight out false statement once again, you cannot use any portion of the program if it does not connect online.

MTC maybe let the program still run even if there isn't an active connection so people maybe can use these trainer they have already downloaded.

The Comcast issue a known issue and has been acknowledged by Comcast. If you disable the advance security feature WeMod will load. We've contacted Comcast to have it removed but they do not have an official review process right now.

Voting is available to everyone. Votes are earned by doing daily objectives, you do not need to buy anything. A new request system will be available soon that addresses the issues many of you have brought up.

Trainers are stored in AppData\Roaming\WeMod\App\trainers after they have been used the first time. There was a bug that prevented some trainers from being used offline which was fixed in a recent update.

I went ahead and made a short video of WeMod working in offline mode

Chris, you should mention to people that you need to kill your internet connection before you start WeMod. I just tested this myself......it does in fact work offline, provided you start WeMod after you are disconnected.

A feature should be added to just start WeMod regardless if you are Online or Offline, so if WeMod sees an internet connection and can't connect to it's servers, it will still load. As of now, this does not happen.

Indeed it is. They added it as part of the Xfi router/modem crap. Most people don't realize it also added an extra $5/month to their bill.

I definitely agree and will bring it up with our developers.
