Hey all, I'm Frank - lead developer over at WeMod! If you haven't read the MrAntiFun + WeMod Partnership announcement posted yesterday, check that out first. The gist of it is that MrAntiFun will be posting new trainers (and most existing ones) to WeMod going forward.

For those of you who haven't heard of us, WeMod is an all-in-one trainer app that detects which games you have installed on your PC and automatically picks the correct trainer to run based on your game version. It was first released in 2015, just after MAF created this forum.

We entered this partnership because MrAntiFun is dedicated to creating quality trainers at a god-like speed, and our team and technology allows him to do this even more efficiently. His following (this community) shows that he's one of the best trainer creators in the world - and we're excited that WeMod can help him focus on doing what he loves.

Trainer updates will still be posted here on MrAntiFun.net, but they will be hosted in the WeMod app. Besides that, the trainers will run just the same as they did before since MrAntiFun is still coding them. The big difference is that releases will be faster and more frequent than ever before :)

I know this news comes as a shock to some - especially those that have been dedicated followers and donators to MAF over the years. Rest assured that we're fully committed to addressing any questions or concerns you have. Feel free to post in this topic, in the forum chat, or to message me privately! I'll respond as quickly as I can.

For existing donors: there will be an announcement posted soon regarding free WeMod Pro membership for you. Note: all trainers in WeMod are FREE. Pro just gives some extra perks.

WeMod also has its own forum where trainer updates will be posted: https://community.wemod.com

Thanks everyone. Glad to be a part of your community :D

-Frank

Or you want our private shit, so you can sue us... I'm using trainers only on single player games, because there are no cheats available, and at SOME DAY, you want to finish the game without harming anyone else in multiplayer... Doesn't mather if you're shit at a game. It does mather that most of the people have a job, and only a few hours to spend, before they NEED their sleep.

Cheating helps their game to see the story and finish the game where they payed a lot for!

Excuse me for being fair, and ban me if needed so i prove i'm right, which would be VERY sad :(

A great partnership. I've used alot of MAF's trainers and the WeMod app (when I can't use CE :p). Looking forward to more excellent work.

i am also not excited about the WeMod merger. Needing a new mod, we simply request here. Only subscribers get to request on WeMod, and even then it has to be a certain number of subscribers requesting (currently requiring 2,000 requests to make a GOG compatible trainer for Kingdom Come, of which there are just 135 requests).

This is a user focused service being bought out by a profit focused service. That said, I understand why MAF would do this deal. Upkeep when you are the primary controller is very difficult, and he recently graduated and needs to monetize his skills more efficiently.

Not from my experience, I'm afraid.
In order to get a trainer made, you have to "vote" for it. And the total number of votes/requests required in some cases is ridiculous. I've seen games on WeMod with no or very poor quality trainers for which other trainer makers have produced excellent results for and within a week of it being requested. Meanwhile, on WeMod there are several quite popular games still waiting for enough requests for a trainer to be made. People will go elsewhere rather than going through the hoops and roundabouts that is registering and requesting something that hundreds of people already requested but is being ignored because hundreds of people "aren't enough". It's a dumb business model (I own/co-own three successful businesses, two tech and one web).

WeMod isn't faster. The request system makes it slower.
I used to be a user of WeMod. But seeing it take absolutely forever for one trainer to gain enough requests while other independent trainer authors made a more than perfect one within hours to a week put me off WeMod. That and other things like toxic behaviour from mod authors (I've seen several of them telling people who requested broken trainers get fixed to F off. Great customer service).

Free users get to request games on WeMod, however, paid supporters get more influence.

We are a user-focused service, we just are adding a technology layer to make things more efficient and fair.

Hey there! Voting on a trainer guarantees it gets released. However, we still publish games that have not met the vote threshold yet.

Our users told us that updates and requests were taking long. Our solution was to partner with MAF.

MrAntiFun will increase the number of trainers going out and the speed of updates. So the concerns you raised about us being "slower" won't apply any longer.

We give people the ability for people to request trainers that aren't paying; however, we offer more power to those that are. Beyond that, we have other extra features that are paid only.

I apologize if any mod author was nasty towards you. We do not endorse that, and it's unacceptable. I hope you understand that thousands of people use WeMod every day and with that comes growing pains.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any other questions or feedback. We listen.

I'm confused. The WeMod does not have a MrAntiFun trainer listed just one by Stinger for Dragon Age Inquisition. I was using the trainer MrAntifun coded until it quit working today. Do you have to pay for a trainer on WeMod to use all the features I had before or to be able to use the trainer by Mrantifun?

MrAntiFun will be porting all of his trainers to WeMod eventually. It'll take some time. Until then, you can continue using all the trainers posted here on the forum. All trainers are free to use in WeMod.

Hmmm. I'd never actually heard of WeMod until now.

Overall I'm cautiously optimistic about this. I've been kind of wondering how MAF keeps up with this operation, even worrying if it was burning him out. With WeMod, it seems like that fear should be somewhat alleviated. Or if you're really pessimistic and cynical: it may be a last-ditch attempt to improve things before giving up.

I guess I'll go ahead and give this thing a try. Hope to see news about the free Pro membership soon. Speaking of which: how does this affect us supporting MAF? Will we continue to do so directly? Or in the future, will we be paying WeMod who then pays MAF?

This is fantastic news. I have used WeMod before it was called that back on an old xbox game site from years ago. Its a great idea on MRantifuns part as it will be a great way to have all his trainers in one app. Heres hopeing we see updates to certain trainers of his on the we mod app in the near future.

done the "we-mod" way, wasnt impressed,,waiting for the "in crowd" to decide what gets updated isnt a way forward by any means..expect to see endless COD and similar rubbish games cheats by the bucketful..

finding it ironic that they first used to "borrow" mafs scripts, edit n then republish under their own hacknames via copyworld n now they own the source :(

still, good luck to you maf, youre the man,,dont let them suck you dry m8,cos they will :(

Tried wemod, lasted 5 minutes till I removed it. I wont nor will I ever install it again. Hopefully a few other trainer makers keep putting out quality trainers that wont require something like wemod to use. I wish goodluck to MAF in the future.

Is there a particular reason you weren't happy with the WeMod platform?

I can tell you one right now:

I am using MAF and a FLiNG trainer for my GOG version of Kingdom Come because WeMod is only supporting a Steam version. This is a common issue on WeMod. You have separate tabs for different clients. Meanwhile, the FLiNG and MAF trainers work on all platforms: my steam games, my origin games, my gog games, and my retail purchased games.

But I do see your efforts to give free players vote tokens. it's still a shitty system to say you aren't paying so you have no voice, or you have to activate our app every day to have a voice once every five days. especially when I can (could) come here and make requests without having to pay anything. I'm patient. I can wait knowing that I am not able to monetarily support MAF's efforts. But I still get to say my piece at any time, no tokens required.

As I said, I get why MAF is doing this. It's time intensive and it is not a lucrative gig. Anything that allows him to leverage his time for money. But he's earned that cred with us by delivering so much content. You're new. And you're taking away more than you're giving. Period.

I appreciate the reply. So the platforms we show is the only platform we tested it on that doesn't mean it won't work on other platforms you will need to manually select the exe. If you select the trainer for steam then click fix a file explorer will come up and you will be able to select the exe.

MAF made a statement about the voting system in the live chat. Not everyone will agree with it but ultimately our voting system is more efficient than just posting a thread. We tried that and it was a mess. We will also be changing the voting system and point system in the near future.

As for your last point. We've been around just as long as MAF. MAF agreed to join us because of our backend. It will ultimately allow him to create and update more trainers than he can currently.

If you've been around so long why do you use a trashy app instead of an index-able forum? Maybe lose the app, no one is going to switch from individual executable to something something designed to look like a mentally handicapped phone OS. Best of luck MAF it was fun while it lasted.

Thank you for the feedback. We do not believe it makes sense to force users to search for a trainer every time they buy a new game. WeMod instantly shows you if there is a trainer for your game and if it supports your version. The largest paid trainers have followed in our footsteps and gone to all in one application as well. We are always open to changing our UI if you have constructive criticism.

Some will ALWAYS be resistant to CHANGE, it's human nature!
From what i have read from Frank@WeMod, i think this will be a positive change!

I, personally, doubt that MAF would even consider this move if it would be detrimental to the small empire he's put together over the years with his awesome trainers! So for now i am optimistic about the added features!
Here's hoping the new partnership will be a lasting and beneficial move for everyone
