It still works in 2.0.6f1. Enter a new level first, then activate the trainer.

I confirmed this still works with v2.0.7f1. Activate trainer in the level 1st. You might have to wait 10 ish seconds for it to... highlight red showing it's activated.

You can also always press Scroll Lock for console.
Write "GreatStuff" to activate debug mode.
